Chinese Garden

For modern Chinese Garden concept, we have what kind of ideas?

How can give yourself to build a Chinese-style garden with a modern flavor of it?

A typical Chinese garden is enclosed by walls and includes one or more ponds, rock works, trees and flowers, and an assortment of halls and pavilions within the garden, connected by winding paths and zig-zag galleries.

By moving from structure to structure, visitors can view a series of carefully composed scenes, unrolling like a scroll of landscape paintings.

Chinese garden design is an ancient garden tradition, that has existed for thousands of years.

Gardens were created to represent the Chinese love of nature, and the natural landsape.

In gardens, the landsape was representative of Chinese spiritual belief in the home of the 'Immortals'; the 'Mystical Isles'.

Historically, gardens were a haven of peace in a town (the garden owners' own little bit of natural landscape brought within their walls), and often the only access to nature for the ladies of the house...

Chinese gardens were, and are, very symbolic though.

As well as the landscape, recreated through elements of hill and pond, and rock and water, in the garden, Chinese gardens use elements of balance and harmony through 'feng shui'.

Feng shui actually means 'wind' and 'water' - and looks at how these vital 'forces' or 'energies' run through a garden.

The rocks in a Chinese garden represent 'Yang' - mountains, and the masculine.

The water in the garden represents 'Yin' - the female.

There must be a balance of both in the garden, to create the harmony of the garden.
